Soccer Championships Resume Wednesday, Thursday Night

The 2013 KHSAA Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer Championships continue Wednesday and Thursday night at Paul Laurence Dunbar, leading up to Saturday’s championship matches. Wednesday’s Boys’ Semifinal action begins with Henderson County vs. Paul Laurence Dunbar at 6 p.m., followed by Trinity (Louisville) vs. Bowling Green at 8 p.m. The Girls’ Championship picks up Thursday night with semifinal action pitting Sacred Heart against Oldham County at 6 p.m., and the defending champion Tates Creek Lady Commodores against Notre Dame at 8 p.m.

Both championship bouts will be played on Saturday, Nov. 9, with the boys’ game at 5 p.m. and the girls’ title match at 7 p.m. Live webcasts of the Semifinals and Championship games will be available at KHSAA.tv.

Cross Country Championships Set For Saturday Morning At Kentucky Horse Park

The Kentucky Horse Park will be the site of the 2013 KHSAA Cross Country State Meet this Saturday, beginning with the 1A Boys and 1A Girls races at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., respectively. The 2A Boys race will start at 11:30 a.m., followed by the 2A Girls at 12:15 p.m. The day’s events will conclude with the 3A Boys at 1:30 p.m., and the 3A Girls at 2:15 p.m.

Results from all 21 regional cross country meets are available on the Cross Country homepage at KHSAA.org, along with performance lists and entries for the 2013 State Meet. Lane assignments for the state meet will be available later this week at KHSAA.org.

KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament Begins Friday At Valley HS

The 2013 KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament (Nov. 8-10) opens Friday morning with first round action at Valley High School in Louisville. Live stats from all matches will be available at KHSAA.org, with live webcasts of Saturday’s quarterfinals and semifinals, as well as Sunday’s championship match, available for free at KHSAA.tv.

Friday’s opening round begins with a match between Whitley County and McCracken County at 9:30 a.m., and ends with a bout between Campbell County and Notre Dame at 8 p.m. Saturday’s quarterfinals begin at 10 a.m., with the semifinals starting at 7 p.m. Sunday’s championship match is slated for 2 p.m.
