The KHSAA is excited to open the nomination process for the Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year among girls’ Swimming and Diving participants for 2017-2018.

This award is based on athletic and academic achievement as well as community service and leadership. The link to the application contains additional criteria and a form to nominate one female participant from each 2017-2018 team. Nominations must come from a member school, but may be submitted by an administrator, guidance counselor, or coach. Nominations may only be submitted online at http://khsaa.org/ge79-midway-universitykhsaa-female-student-athlete-of-the-year-nomination-form/

The winner, if present, will be recognized at the 2018 KHSAA Swimming and Diving State Championship at the Ralph Wright Natatorium on February 22-24. In case the winner does not qualify for the state tournament, representatives from Midway University will present the award at the recipient’s high school at a mutually determined later date.

From the winners selected for each championship, one student-athlete will be selected as the 2017-2018 Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year. That award will be presented at an awards banquet at Midway University in May 2018.

The deadline for nominations for the Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year in the sport of Swimming and Diving is Monday, February 12, 2018.
