1/28/2018 – Nominations Sought for Midway University Female Student-Athlete of the Year – Girls’ Swimming and Diving

The KHSAA is excited to open the nomination process for the Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year among girls’ Swimming and Diving participants for 2017-2018.

This award is based on athletic and academic achievement as well as community service and leadership. The link to the application contains additional criteria and a form to nominate one female participant from each 2017-2018 team. Nominations must come from a member school, but may be submitted by an administrator, guidance counselor, or coach. The winner, if present, will be recognized at the 2018 KHSAA Swimming and Diving State Championship at the Ralph Wright Natatorium on February 22-24. In case the winner does not qualify for the state tournament, representatives from Midway University will present the award at the recipient’s high school at a mutually determined later date.

From the winners selected for each championship, one student-athlete will be selected as the 2017-2018 Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year. That award will be presented at an awards banquet at Midway University in May 2018.

The deadline for nominations for the Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year in the sport of Swimming and Diving is Monday, February 12, 2018.
