Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Mr. Hampton has officiated 6 BS16 Tournaments, including the famous championship game in which Paul Andrews made the half court shot to win the Sweet Sixteen for Laurel County. He has worked numerous district and regional tournaments and multiple Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Games. He has been a leader in high school basketball officiating, both on and off the court. He has served in numerous leadership positions in the Bluegrass Basketball Association which represented officials from the 10th and 11th regions. He was respected by the coaches that he worked for and also by his peers due to his consummate professionalism. Mr. Hampton took great pride in being a high school referee and was instrumental in the development of many young officials that came behind him.
