Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Founded The Kentucky High School Scoreboard Radio Network, starting the show with former KHSAA Commissioner Louis Stout In 2001. He now does the show with Coach Donnie Adkins. The show airs every Friday night during football and basketball season, and is in its 20th Year of promoting high school sports. The program started with 12 Radio Stations and is now heard on over 50 radio and online stations across the state. Broadcast Kentucky High School Football, Basketball and Baseball games on the radio for 26 years, from 1964 to 1988, and 1998 to 2000. Played on the 1961 Ashland Tomcat State Tournament Championship Basketball team. Rick Shaw was also an announcer on the University of Kentucky Radio Network with Cawood Ledford and Ralph Hacker from 1968 through 1888.
