Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Covered the 37th District from 1985 thru 2005; Organized a Doctor of Sports' All 37th District Team; Handed out the 10th Region Player of Year Awards until the district realignment in 2006; Covered the 40th District since 2006; Covered 10th Region since 1985; Started covering the Boys and Girls State Tournaments on a regular since 1990; Ivan has been covering sports for Paris and Bourbon County for over 40 years. He loves to promote student-athletes and their successes on and off the field. He travels across the state to be sure their accomplishments are known. He has dedicated his entire professional career to serving others which in and of itself is a phenomenal feat. Last year Ivan was diagnosed with cancer and has had multiple surgeries since. His sports reporting career is coming to an end and would love to see him inducted while he is able to enjoy the moment and soak it all in.
