Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:

Player - Standout baseball player at East Carter (1978-81 four-year starter). Selected 1981 Raider of the Year. Won state title in 1980-81. Continued to play baseball at Morehead State. All-OVC Freshman of the Year and OVC Player of the Year his senior season. Inducted into MSU Hall of Fame in 2016. Coach - Most boys' basketball wins in Raceland history (212 over 14 seasons, 1993-07). Most fastpitch softball wins in school history (185 over eight seasons, 2011-19). Two 63rd District titles and three 16th Region All "A" titles in basketball. Three 63rd District titles, seven 16th Region All "A" titles, one All "A" runner-up, one 16th Region runner-up in softball. On top of some of the most successful boys' basketball and girls' softball teams in history, Shawn also coached eight years of girls' golf, winning the schools first 16th Region All "A" title in 2018. He also coached three years of boys' golf and four years of cross country at Raceland. He was founder of Racelands boys' basketball and softball Hall of Fames.
