2002 KHSAA Outstanding Official of the Year 2002 KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen State Championship Official 1998 At-Large Boys Sweet Sixteen Official / Highest Coaches Rating in KY 6 KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen Tournaments 2 KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen Tournaments 2 ALL - A State Finals KHSAA 15th Region Football Assigning Secretary KHSAA 15th Region Basketball Assigning Secretary Jerry Hurley had a distinguished 20-Year career as an official in the 15th region. His commitment to excellence on the court earned him the 2002 Outstanding Officials Award. Throughout his tenure, he has officiated 8 Sweet Sixteens, 5 All -A state tournaments and numerous regional tournaments in the state of Kentucky. After hanging up the whistle, Jerry continued to remain dedicated to our states athletics as the Assigning Secretary for both Basketball and Football for 10 years. His dedication to the sport and mentorship of younger officials has left a lasting impact on the athletics community not only in the region but in the state as well. Jerry has a lasting reputation as one of the best officials in the history of the 15th region. Attached in the supporting documentation are endorsements from some of Jerry's peers who are extremely well respected within the state, and the association. 2 of which are fellow members of the KHSAA Hall of Fame; both who feel as if Jerry's accomplishments warrant induction to such a prestigious Hall of Fame. Endorsements include State Senator Johnny Ray Turner, Paul Dotson ( KHSAA HOF Class of 1995), and Ancie Casey (KHSAA HOF Class of 1995).
