Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:

Jaree Goodin was a four-year starter at Corbin High School. She started in 117 consecutive ballgames. From her sophomore year through her senior year, she led her team to a 91-12 record. She finished her career as the all-time leading scorer at Corbin, and the record remained for 33 years. She was all district team 4 years, All region team 3 years, All SEKC 4 years, and all state her senior year. She broke the single-game scoring record twice. The second time was during the regional tournament, where she put up 47 points. She lettered in three spots, basketball, track, and softball. She is a member of the Corbin Hall of Fame, the Eastern Kentucky Hall of Fame, and was in the induction class for the 13th Region Hall of Fame. Her ending career statistics were 1874 points, 1056 rebounds, and a field goal percentage of 54%. She was the Corbin High School homecoming queen and the 1989 Miss Corbin High School. She received a full Division I scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University Jaree continued to excel at basketball a EKU. She set the single-game scoring records twice. Finished as the 2nd all-time leading scorer and 3rd all-time leading rebounder. She was named MVP of the OVC tournament in 1993. She was the Eastern Kentucky Female Athlete of the year in 1992-1993. Her record of scoring the most field goals during a ballgame still stands at 18, and she is third on the best all-time field goal percentage list.
