Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
James was an outstanding athlete at South Hopkins High School. He scored 2,832 carrer points in basketball while leading his team to the Sweet 16 in 1957 & 58. James was also an outstanding pitcher for the South Hopkins baseball team. After his playing career, he coached basketball at South Hopkins from 1964-1970, compiling a 145 Win- 40 Loss record.
