Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Known as "The Father of Wrestling"; First Chairman of State Wrestling Committee; Manager of State Wrestling Tournament for 23 Years from 1964 through 1986. If Kentucky wrestling is indeed a family, then this man was his father. He took his invitational tournament, and took an idea to Commissioner Ted Sanford to create a KHSAA Sate Wrestling Tournament. For the next 23 years, Orville "Bud" Williams managed the tournament as it moved around the city of Louisville. In 1987, he stepped aside Until his death in April of 2005, he remained a supporter and advocate for the wrestling tournament
