Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Contributing to high school athletics in golf, Mr. Hilen was involved with the PGA and a golf teacher since 1962. He was an avid advocate of classroom education and sportsmanship. Over the course of his lifetime he enthusiastically taught anyone who wanted to learn the game of golf, whether it be a beginner or a state champion. Numerous high school players attribute their success to Mr. Hilen's motivation.
