Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Kim LaBelle was instrumental in getting girls' soccer its start in the high schools of Kentucky. As a freshman and sophomore, Ms. Labelle played on the boys team, as there was no girls soccer team. She was the first Miss Soccer, was a high school All American in 1993, and set the standard for other girls of the state.
