Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
As a Hazard High School athlete, Mr. Cox earned 14 varsity letters in football, basketball, track and baseball. He returned to his alma mater in 1967 in various coaching capacities including forming the girls' track team, the first girls' athletic team at Hazard since the 1930's.
