Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Mr. Weedman was an early girls' basketball advocate and highly successful coach. He took his Oldham County teams to 10 district titles, 8 regional titles, the 1980 final four, 1988 state runner up and 1986 state champions. His record 319-110 is a testament to his dedication. Following his coaching career, he completed a near forty-year career in education, serving two terms on the KHSAA Board of Control and serving as President during a very turbulent time of transition. His calm yet strong leadership and insight helped stabilize the Association during a time of leadership transition and set the Association up for continued success.
