Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Mr. Smiley has been involved in education and sports throughout his long career. He worked 28 years as a teacher, coach, athletic director and administrator at the Kentucky School for the Deaf. During his time, he coached football, boys' and girls' basketball, soccer, track and cheerleading. He has done everything from teaching to being AD, coaching to driving the bus if needed. He has volunteered many hours to helping students in whatever area needed.
