Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Mr. Dearborn spent 24 of his 38 years in the 10th Region as an administrator working with athletics. He has always been a strong advocate for gender equity, making changes at Harrison County HS to bring girls' athletics into line with the boys'. In 1998, he volunteered Harrison County HS to be the site of the first Title IX Audit. His changes in district policy were commended by the committee and other schools replicated the procedures in their own districts.
