Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
Stuart set the national high school record for indoor shot put (71'11'') and the state record for shot put (67'). Kentucky's power lifting and Olympic lifting champion, Stuart was the two-time national high school champion and was a three-time national All-America selection. Stuart was twice named the AAU Athletic of the Year and was ranked in the top 10 nationally in shot put on 13 occasions. An NCAA national champion at Western Kentucky University, Stuart was a five-time All-America honoree at WKU. He went on to be a three-time silver medalist member of Team USA.
