Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
For 34 years Charles Adkins coached baseball in the 15th region. He began coaching at Johnson Central in 1969, then moved on to Paintsville where he coached for the next 33 years. Adkins had a career record of 805-293, winning 20 district and 14 region titles, more than any other coach in the region. His teams made five final four appearances at the state baseball tournament, were state runner-ups in 1989 and won the State Championship in 1990.
