Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
In his 26 seasons as a head coach, Bart Rison was 505-269, with 12 District Championships, five Regional Runner-up finishes and a Regional Championship, which was the first ever for Montgomery County. Rison got his start in 1981 at Estill County coaching for 5 years until 1986 when he got the Montgomery County job. In 1995 and 2002, he was named the KABC 10th Region coach of the year. He was also President of the 10th Region Basketball Coaches Association (87-88) and the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches (01-02).
