Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
The Mr. Baseball award winner in 1992, Shon Walker had a tremendous career at Harrison County HS. Walker led the ’92 Harrison County team with 29 home runs, which still stands as the state record for home runs in a season. Walker also holds the state record for single-season runs scored, while sitting in a tie for second in career runs scored, third in career home runs, and tied for fourth for RBI in a season. Walker was drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates in the 1st round of the 1992 MLB Draft.
