Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:

Mary Custard was a dominating female athlete in the early 80's. As a basketball player, she scored 2057 career points from 1982-1986. She finished her career with a 31.3 points per game average as a senior. In a run that began at the end of her sophomore season, Mary reached double figures in scoring in the final 62 consecutive games of her high school career. She scored more than 40 points four times while playing for Harrison County and scored her career-high 52 against Bracken Co. Mary was the All-Time leading scorer in Harrison County Basketball history (male and female) from the time of her graduation in 1986 until the 1998 season. Mary was also a standout in Track. While at Harrison County, she was a State Champion in 1984 in the 200M Dash and the 400M Dash. She won back-to-back state titles in the same two events in 1985 and was also a member of the 1985 1600M Relay State Champion team. Mary still holds school records in the 200M Dash (25.83), the 400M Dash (57.19) and as anchor of the 800M Relay (1:46.20).
