Thank you for working the 2026 KHSAA Boys’/Coed State Volleyball Tournament presented by UK HealthCare. Here are some pertinent details to help you prepare for the event at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

EVENT DETAILS

• Date: Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16
• Site: George Rogers Clark High School
• Address: 2745 Boonesboro Rd., Winchester 40391

CHECK-IN
Please enter through the team/officials/workers gate, as shown on the map above.  Not the front “ticket” gate.

If you have the KHSAA season-long Event credential, please bring that.  If this is the first event of the year you are working, and you have received one in the past, you can pick the 25-26 one up at this time.  If not, a general event staff badge will be issued.

ATTIRE
Dress comfortably and keep the weather forecast in mind if you are in a gate area, so you can dress appropriately for any warmer or cooler weather.

MEALS
So you can plan accordingly, we will have a boxed meal from the concession stand at 12:15 and 6:15 on Tuesday.  There is a break between the semis and final, so that you can dine off-site.

STAFF ASSIGNMENTS/DUTIES 
Ticket Gate – Joe Angolia, Kara Howard, Kathy Johnston, Kathy Smith, Barbara Kok

• Box Office Ticket Purchases
  Kathy and Kara will staff the box office units for walk-up credit card sales.
• Ticket Validations
  Barbara, Kathy S., and others will assist as needed.

• Arrival time 9:30 a.m.

Team Check-In – Sara McClain

• Check in Teams, Officials, Workers, and Media using Google Sheets in 2026 Volleyball Notes.  Team attendants to assist.
• Admit Commonwealth Cardholders and guests, and keep a count.
• Arrival time: 9 a.m.

Team Attendants – Jimmy Powell, Frank McGowan

• Verify players/staff from the roster
• Assist teams to locker rooms
• Manage teams (review timeline, warm-up areas, bench count, post-match awards)
• Assist with shagging as requested.
• Arrival time 9 a.m. 

Floor Managers – Marilyn Mitchell, Diane Griffitt, Jeanie Molloy, Jeremy Ison

• Managing access areas as assigned
• Assist with shagging
• Ball rotation between serves
• Arrival time 9:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday

Officials Liaison – John Campbell

• On-Site assistance with Officials
• Net System Set-up/Check
• Floor Assistance

Scorer’s Table – Adell Kemper, Jeff Robinson, Lisa Stephenson (Friday), Suzanne Haberek (Saturday)

• Scoreboard
• Tracker
• Timer

Public Address – David Dawson

• Director Milam will assist in corporate sponsor fulfillment (PA reads, Video Board,
  Warm-up Music) by working with PA Dawson.
• Arrival time 9:30 a.m.

Webstreaming – William Warfield, Joe Allen, Brian Martindale, Paul Najjar

Certified Athletic Trainers – As scheduled through UK HealthCare

• EAP
• Training needs as requested
• Arrive on-site at 9:45 a.m. Friday and Saturday

Security – George Rogers Clark SRO

• Facility security, including assistance in floor management post-match and clearing of the facility.
• Arrive 9:30 a.m. 

KHSAA Staff 

• Arrive at 7 a.m. on Tuesday for setup.
• New Black tonal shirt/pullover on Friday
• New Navy Tonal shirt/pullover on Saturday
