Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:

By the time Greg Austin graduated in 1968, he had earned more letters than anyone in the history of Lafayette HS. He participated in football, basketball, and track. He also played baseball in the summer. For eight years, he had no break between seasons. Greg ran the 440 in :50:03 seconds and his 42’ 8 ½” triple jump earned him a state championship. Although baseball was his best sport, basketball was his first love, because it was something an introvert could do by himself. His senior year, he earned 3rd team honors. Greg was Lafayette’s football quarterback and was named 1st team AP during his senior year. Documentary through the Louis B.
