Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
As a coach in the 16th region, Dave Miller took a softball program that had never had a winning season and led them to win 6 consecutive regional titles throughout his coaching career. He coached the first team in the 16th region to ever go undefeated in the region. He produced players that went on to compete on the Division 1 level because he pushed his players to be the best they could be on and off the field. Not only were his accomplishments huge for Ashland Athletics, he also lifted up the 16th region by his contributions as a softball instructor. Dave opened up the first softball-only training facility in Ashland, KY where he brought in top instructors from around the US to meet a need for the 16th region and surrounding areas. There is no doubt that he lifted up his players, the school where he coached, and the region as a whole through his passion for the sport.
