For four decades Coach Napier represented both M.C. Napier and Perry Central High Schools in the town where he was born and grew up in and was honored by his city, county, and school system in many ways. The street in front of Perry Central High School is named, 800 Randy Napier Way. The floor in Perry Centrals gym is named Coach Randy Napier Court. There are road signs at the entrances to Perry County that read: Home of Coach Randy Napier the states all-time winningest girls basketball coach. Although he had numerous opportunities to coach in other places at the high school and collegiate levels Coach Napier instead made the commitment to spend his entire coaching career in Perry County representing his home county and school system as the coach at M.C. Napier and Perry Central.
