Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:

Mrs. Newsome led her team to four consecutive Sweet 16¦ appearances while scoring over 3,000 points in her career, placing her in the KHSAA's Top 20 all time scorers. She is a true pioneer of girls basketball, setting a standard for all the other mountain teams. She continues to lead as the Athletic Director at her home school.
