Nominee's Accomplishments at the High School Level in Kentucky:
James E Boxx Jr. was a four-time KHSAA All-State Cross Country selection, a two-time KHSAA All-State Track & Field Team honoree. He won the 1983 AA Individual State Cross Country Championship, the 1984 AA 1-Mile State title. Boxx received an athletic scholarship to Western Kentucky University for Cross Country and Track & Field where he was 2nd Team All-Sun Belt Conference in 1984 and was name the “Most Outstanding Newcomer for Cross Country” at WKU in 1985.
