07/17/18 – Officials Division Updates- Assigning Secretary Contracts/Payments

As we are now set to begin another year, please review the following changes that are now in place with regard to the KHSAA Officials Division:

Fall Sports Assigning Secretaries contracts will be emailed the week of July 16.  Winter Sports will be emailed in September and Spring sports in January.  

Assigners will no longer complete the OF116 Assigning Pay online form.  This form will be revised and submitted by the Regional Policy Board Chairs (RPBC).  The RPBC will be responsible for gathering the information and collecting payment from schools/local associations and submit the data through the OF116. 

The KHSAA will then create an invoice for the Regional Policy Board (RPB) to be sent to the RPBC and then the RPBC will remit funds to the KHSAA.  The KHSAA will then issue payment to the Assigners.  This should help streamline the process and eliminate the need for the verification of pay by the RPB that was having to be done using the old process and resulted in unnecessary delays.

Admittedly, the KHSAA was not able to do an exemplary job with this task for 2017-18 and many payments to our assigners were significantly delayed. These changes will ensure that these problems are minimized in the future.
