As we head into the final two weekends of competition, we wanted to update coaches on some details for the KHSAA Indoor Track & Field State Championships.

REMINDERS/UPDATES

  • The event-by-event schedule has been posted: https://ly.khsaa.org/dgmg
  • Only Indoor performances will be accepted for the purpose of qualification.
  • Deadlines for indoor performances to be submitted to the MileSplit website for possible qualification to the KHSAA Indoor Championships will be Saturday, February 24th at 9:00 PM ET.
  • There is a limit of 2 athletes per school per event and 1 relay team per school, and excess qualifiers for a school will be noted on the performance list each week, and removed for the final listing.
  • Once the qualifiers list is released, coaches will have time to review and withdraw any athletes from events by completing the appropriate online form.
  • Deadlines will be announced for withdrawal.
  • There will be no substitutions by coaches for withdrawn competitors as after the withdrawal is received, the next best qualifying time/mark based on the top 50 list will be added.

TOP 50 PERFORMANCES LIST

To assist coaches and athletes in tracking each event’s top 24, the KHSAA has worked with our partners at MileSplit and compiled performances in all 14 events that will be updated each week. If an athlete is missing from the list, here are a few tips to check before contacting the KHSAA.

  • Are the meet results posted on MileSplit?
  • Did the athlete perform under the KHSAA member school name?
    • If not, then the athlete would not qualify while representing any other entity or while running unattached.

*NEW THIS WEEK

  • Performance lists now include any 55 m Dash and 55 m Hurdles performances to 60 M Dash and 60 M Hurdle performances accordingly. Those show a “c” next to the performance time if it was converted through Milesplit.
  • A reminder that the list does reflect the removal (in red) of no more than the 2 qualifiers per school limit (1 per school in relays) and who would be in the current Top 24.
  • Each week, this list is pulled from Milesplit on Monday and then compiled and released on Friday.
  • There will be one more release on February 23.
  • As of 02/12/24, here is the list of the Top 50 performances: https://khsaa.org/current-top-50-indoor-track-field-performances-for-2024/
