As we have detailed in the regional meetings, the Board of Control desires additional feedback and clarification from schools on a prior survey. This survey deals with TENNIS and one response will be accepted per school. Duplicate responses will be deleted and the response from the Principal will take precedence over the Athletic Director in the event of duplication. It is an individual school administrator determination if other individuals are consulted prior to response. The deadline for submission is TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2019.

Before you complete the survey, you will need to know how many singles players and doubles teams were entered from your school last spring.

The survey is located at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TeamTennisFormat2019Survey

The Board of Control has received requests from members of the recently formed Kentucky High School Tennis Coaches Association to replace the current format with a team vs. team, school vs. school format, or to conduct both the current format and a team vs. team, school vs. school format in determining a state team champion.

Each school is asked to share a singular opinion. Per bylaw 1, each school is given one vote, via the Principal or Designated Representative. This change is being considered for future years and based on the Board’s decisions, an implementation timeline would be developed.

Thank you. KHSAA Tennis contacts Mike Barren (mbarren@khsaa.org) and Butch Cope (bcope@khsaa.org) are available to answer any inquiries.
