01/13/23 – Swimming & Diving Postseason Updates

The KHSAA wanted to update member schools about Swimming & Diving postseason dates and sites.

FOR REGION DIVING:

• Regional Diving will take place on January 31 and February 1
• Both regional diving events will take place at the University of Louisville
• Girls’ Diving Regional Host – Sacred Heart 
• Boys’ Diving Regional Host – St. Xavier
• Points accumulated in the Regional diving meets will accrue and carry forward to the swimming Region meet team totals.
• To be eligible to participate in the KHSAA Regional and State Diving meets, a contestant must have competed in at least four (4) diving meets on a team representing a member school.
• The following reflects dates/times for regional diving:

FOR REGION SWIMMING:

• Hosts/sites have been finalized for the nine regional meets, and are listed below for reference. The regional swim meets are scheduled for the weekend of February 3-4.

CURRENT STATE MEET DETAILS

• The 2023 KHSAA State Swimming & Diving Championships presented by UK Healthcare will take place February 16-18 at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center.
• State Diving will take place on February 16 (girls first) and points accumulated in the Diving Meets will accrue and carry forward to the swimming state meet team totals.
• State Swimming will take place on February 17-18, with the girls’ prelims/finals on Friday and the boys’ prelims/finals on Saturday.
• As final details and schedules become available, the KHSAA website will be updated.
