02/05/23 – Swimming & Diving State Meet Psych Sheet & Information Now Available

First and foremost, the KHSAA wants to thank the regional host schools & officials for all of their hard work and success of the regionals this past week. The results for the 2023 KHSAA Regional Swimming & Diving Meets, as well as the Psych Sheet for the 2023 KHSAA State Swimming & Diving Championships Presented by UK HealthCare, are posted on the KHSAA website. You can view these by going to the following link, https://khsaa.org/sports-activities-events/winter/swimming/ and clicking on “2022-2023 KHSAA Region/State Entries/Results” near the bottom of the page.

Coaches are reminded there are several additional items for review on the swimming page of the KHSAA website, including state meet instructions, time schedules, maps, directions to the state site, and much more! To view these items, go to the KHSAA Swimming website and choose the “State Swim Meet Information and Instructions” dropdown menu. 

PARTICIPATING TEAMS CONFERENCE CALL

  • Participating coaches are invited to join the KHSAA in a conference call that will take place on Monday, February 13th at 2:00 PM (ET).
  • Details about joining these calls will be sent to participating coaches/athletic directors.

STATE MEET DETAILS

  • State qualifiers have been added to the psych sheet and can be found here: https://khsaa.org/swimming/2023/23psychesheetswimming.pdf
  • A complete time schedule for the KHSAA State Swimming & Diving Championships Presented by UK HealthCare can be found here: https://khsaa.org/2023-state-swimming-and-diving-schedule/
  • State Diving will take place on February 16th at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center. 
    • Points accumulated in the Diving Meets will accrue and carry forward to the Swimming state meet team totals.
  • State Swimming will take place on February 17-18 at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center.
    • The Girls’ Meet will be on February 17th with prelims in the morning and the finals that evening.
    • The Boys’ Meet will be on February 18th with prelims in the morning and the finals that evening.
  • For 2023, since there are no alternates for the maximum of 40 qualifiers per event, any scratches or withdrawals for swimming & diving events must be received by Tuesday, February 14th at 5:00 PM (EST) (medical and injury excluded per rule). Email all changes for approval to swresults@khsaa.org.
  • ​As a reminder, only six relay athletes shall be listed on the relay card given to the coaches at the coaches meeting (on site) before each session. Coaches can then declare which four that will swim that session. The coach will then return the card(s) to the Head Table by the schedule attached to the cards.
  • Student-athletes, coaches, and fans are reminded that concessions will be provided from 10 am – 2 pm and 4 pm – 8 pm all 3 days of the event and should plan accordingly.

DIVING STATE ENTRY FOR QUALIFIERS

  • The state meet has been posted on divemeets.com and all state diving participants must log in and enter the State Meet.
  • This must be completed by 9:00 am (ET) on Wednesday, February 15th or the diver will be scratched.
  • Each contestant shall submit a description of dives on divemeets.com.
  • Include the number, position, degree of difficulty, and order in which dives will be attempted for all levels of competition (preliminaries through finals).
  • The final list of dives must be submitted no later than one (1) hour before the competition is to begin on site.

HOTELS 

  • Those hotels offering a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate for participating teams can also be found on the KHSAA website.
  • Please be advised, this does not include any taxes and/or fees.
