As has been noted to the attendees at the fall Regional Meetings, the KHSAA is proud to partner with the CPR Institute of Indiana to offer the chance for member schools to purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at a deeply discounted price for a limited time. The program has been accepted by the KHSAA Sports Medicine Committee (member doctors of the KMA) and the price is the product of great work between CPR Institute and the NFHS Foundation.

A product flier with complete details is located on the KHSAA website at https://khsaa.org/sportsmedicine/Kentucky%20Document%20for%20Philips%20AED%20Units.pdf

The cost of the units is $700 per unit, plus applicable shipping. For those interested in comparing prices, you can see the same package at https://americanaed.com/products/complete-aed-packages/philips-heartstart-onsite

The Philips On-Site Kits Include:

  • Philips On-Site AED with carrying case
  • Alarmed Wall Cabinet
  • Adult Pads
  • Pchat Rescue Kit
  • Peds Pads * ( if the facility has children under 50lbs) Additional cost.
  • Five (5) year Lithium-Ion Battery.
  • Eight (8) year Manufacturer Warranty.

Though this kit contains the wall cabinet for storage, it is an affordable solution to ensure that units are available where you need within your school and athletic program.

For details, contact Bill Callahan, 317-201-2229. For those schools that desire, tell Bill you want the unit delivered to the KHSAA Annual Meeting on September 19 in Lexington and your delegate can pick up the unit and save shipping.

The KHSAA is pleased and proud to make this vital solution and important element in your Emergency Action Plan more accessible within your school budget. The KHSAA nor KMA receive any portion of the sales or maintenance price.
