Serving Kentucky's Schools and Student Athletes Since 1917

08/18/26 – State Golf First Round Site Change (Regions 9-12)

August 18, 2026 Athletic Department Blog Updates

After consultation and review with Golf House Kentucky, we feel the need to relocate the State First Round Tournament for Regions 9-12 to StoneCrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg.

We realize some teams may have already made efforts to play at Boone’s Trace National GC this season, but we believe this decision will result in the best experience for all participants. Hopefully, making this announcement now allows teams time to make logistical adjustments as they prepare for the state tournament.

We appreciate Boone’s Trace’s understanding and willingness to be part of the KHSAA State Championship, and hope to include them in the near future as the site rotation plan is expanded for future years.
