Following the February Board meeting, the staff has been working to re-confirm postseason sites while also finalizing plans for the swimming and diving postseason.  The following is the current status of those postseason plans:

Attendance
Based upon building limitations and to maximize student participation, there will be no spectators at postseason swimming and diving events.

Swimming Region
All events will be timed finals only.

Regions may be conducted during the two-week window beginning April 5-17.  Staff continues to work with managers in securing the schedule of dates and times.  Region sites are as follows:

The top two finishers in each region advance to the appropriate state site.  The top 7 at-large finishers from within the three regions grouped together will advance to the appropriate state site.  The 40th spot will come from the top finisher from all nine regions in each event and swim at its assigned state site accordingly.

Swimming State
There will be three sites hosting state competitions.  These competitions will be held on Saturday, April 24 with the times/schedules as listed in the link below.

Meets will be timed finals and the state awards will be calculated based upon the performances from all three sites, with the results from each site combined for team scoring and individual honors.  The three state sites are as follows:

Union College, Barbourville

All awards for state recipients (individual and team) will be shipped directly to each school following the event.  

Diving Region
Regional Diving, as was mentioned in previous meetings, would continue to be grouped three regions per site with three sites hosting.  Staff continues to work with managers in securing the schedule of dates and times.  The three host sites are as follows:

Diving State
The 40 qualifiers from the three regional sites will advance to Falling Springs in Versailles for a one-site state diving championship to be held on Thursday, April 22 with the times/schedules as listed in the link below.

State awards will be calculated based upon the performances at the single site, with points carrying over to the swimming events for team scoring and individual honors. 

Staff is in the process of working with and finalizing the state site and will announce that information as soon as it becomes available.

No awards will be issued at the site as those will be mailed directly to the schools following the event.

We hope to have site manager information published soon and are working on regional and state event instructions as well.

About the Kentucky High School Athletic Association
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth. The Association is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)3 organization made up of 284 member schools both public and non-public.
