The State First Round Instructions and time schedules have been updated and added to the KHSAA Swimming website under the  “State First Round Swimming & Diving Meet Information and Instructions” dropdown menu. 

STATE FIRST ROUND SWIMMING INSTRUCTIONS AND SCHEDULES

STATE FIRST ROUND SITES

• Site #1 (Bowling Green High School, Bowling Green) *Central Time
• Site #2 (University of Louisville, Louisville) *Eastern Time
• Site #3 (Scott High School, Taylor Mill) *Eastern Time

STATE FIRST ROUND SWIMMING QUALIFIERS/PSYCH SHEETS

• All State First Round sites will run a timed final on February 8 and will use starting block wedges. 
• From Regions 1-3:
  
  • The top 2 per region per swimming event advance to the state First Round Site #1 = 6 total
  • After the automatic qualifiers from each region (6 total), the next best 10 times from Regions 1-3 will also advance for a total of 16 per event at Site #1.
  • Site #1 Girls Psych Sheet
  • Site #1 Boys Psych Sheet
• From Regions 4-6:
  
  • The top 2 per region per swimming event advance to the state First Round Site #2 = 6 total
  • After the automatic qualifiers from each region (6 total), the next best 10 times from regions 4-6 will also advance for a total of 16 per event at Site #2.
  • Site #2 Girls Psych Sheet
  • Site #2 Boys Psych Sheet
• From Regions 7-9:
  
  • The top 2 per region per swimming event advance to the state First Round Site #3 = 6 total
  • After the automatic qualifiers from each region (6 total), the next best 10 times from regions 7-9 will also advance for a total of 16 per event at Site #3. 
  • Regions 7 and 9 are not complete, Site #3 psych sheets will be available on Sunday, February 2. 

STATE FIRST ROUND WITHDRAWALS

• Any withdrawals (which means removal from the entire first round meet) must be received by Tuesday, February 4th at 5:00 PM (EST) (medical and injury excluded per rule). 
• These withdrawals must be submitted via:
  • SW127 Athlete Withdrawal Form

STATE DIVING QUALIFIERS

The 2025 State Diving Finals Qualifiers have also been posted:

• Girls Diving Psych Sheet
• Boys Diving Psych Sheet

QUALIFIERS FOR THE STATE FINALS 

• A total of 24 competitors per event will qualify for the state finals at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatics Center.
  • State First-Round Site #1 (Regions 1-3), the top three (3) competitors per event automatically qualify.
  • State First-Round Site #2 (Regions 4-6), the top three (3) competitors per event automatically qualify.
  • State First-Round Site #3 (Regions 7-9), the top three (3) competitors per event automatically qualify.
  • After the nine (9) automatic qualifiers from each first round, the next best 15 times statewide per event will be at-large qualifiers, for a total of 24 at the KHSAA State Finals.

STATE FINALS MEET DETAILS

• State Diving will take place on February 20th at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center.
• • Points accumulated in the Diving Meets will accrue and carry forward to the Swimming state meet team totals.
• State Swimming will take place on February 21-22 at the University of Kentucky’s Lancaster Aquatic Center.
