10/10/25 – Dance Regional Information Available
PrintInformation regarding the KHSAA Dance Regional competitions for the 2025-26 season has been posted on the KHSAA website. Several items for participating schools to review are available on the Dance page of the KHSAA website prior to the competition. This includes regional instructions for managers, participating teams, and fans, as well as a detailed time schedule for each regional competition.

- Detailed time schedules for each regional have also been posted, changes may occur as schools double-check for accuracy.
- A final email will be sent once the schedule is set.

COACHES BOX
- Each regional site will have a “coaching box” of a maximum of 6 seats.
- Each participating school can decide who will occupy these seats during the school’s performance, as long as it doesn’t exceed six (6) total (i.e. 2 alternates, 4 coaches or 3 alternates, 3 coaches, etc.).
- As a reminder, in accordance with Universal Dance Association’s (UDA) Championship Rules, it is required that each team has a responsible adult at the music station who knows the routine and music (no alternates or team members allowed) and not in the coaching box.
- This representative is responsible for pressing “play” and should not be 1 of the 6 individuals occupying the coaching box.
- No other participants from other squads or individuals will be permitted on the floor.
KHSAA STATE DANCE COMPETITION
- Prior to the first regional competition, the chart detailing the number of qualifiers for each region in each division will be posted and sent to participating schools.
- The 2025 KHSAA State Dance Championships will be held on December 14 at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester.
- In the coming weeks, a finalized, detailed time schedule will be developed for the state championships.

About the Kentucky High School Athletic Association
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth. The Association is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)3 organization made up of 290 member schools, both public and non-public.
