Thank you for agreeing to work at the 2023 Clark’s Pump-N-Shop State Baseball Tournament, presented by UK HealthCare.  We are excited about the two weekends and wanted to provide you with some details for each site.

Dates: Thursday, June 1-Saturday, June 3
Site: Counter Clocks Field (formerly Lexington Legends Field)
Address: 207 Legends Lane, Lexington
Parking: Upon turning onto Legends Lane, turn to your right to park in lost just past the box office.
Check-In: Please check in at the Media/Team Check-Gate which is located just past home plate on the third base side of the stadium.
Arrival Time: 8 a.m. (ET) Thursday and Friday; 8:30 a.m. (ET) Saturday

Staffing Assignments/Responsibilities:
Pass-Gate
Marilyn Mitchell, Les Broady

  • Check-in Staff, Teams, Vendors, Board, Media, Umpires
  • Disseminate Workers/Media Gift
  • Disseminate Media Vests-Log Vest Number for tracking and return.
  • Disseminate Team Party Passes for Teams – 21 players in uniform admitted, 15 team party passes (to be used by any non-uniformed individuals (head coach, assistant, trainer/managers, school administrators).
  • Disseminate Commemorative Bag Tags for Teams – 25 for each team.  These are not credentials, simply commemorative gift.
  • Comp Admissions – Accepting KHSAA Commonwealth Card, BOC Badge.  No coaches or officials cards.
  • Provide gate count for attendance (counting comps, media, workers).  No need to count teams/team parties as that is built into the attendance figure.
  • Meal Ticket distribution

Ticket Gate
Jesse Currens, Marnie Broady

  • Box Office Credit Card Walk-up Sales
  • Assist Counter Clocks Staff with Ticket Validation

Umpires Staff Liaisons
Andy Strain, Keith Morgan, Brent Bradley

  • Managers Visitors Lockerroom for Umpire Crew
  • Assist with entering and exiting crews

Team Attendants
Frank McGowan, Jimmy Powell, Fred Brown, Jeff Marksberry

  • Assist with getting teams to the proper dugout (the top team in the bracket is home and uses the 3B Dugout)
  • Review timeline with coaches (infield, anthem protocols per grid)
  • Assist with securing postgame recognitions (All-tourney, MVP, etc.)
  • Monitoring of dugout.  Only 30 total in the dugout.  Only 21 can be in uniform and participate in on-field warm-ups, etc.
  • Monitoring of media in camera wells (not in the dugout)
  • Monitor the dugout for any damage
  • Assist with Media vest return
  • Assist with ticket validation as needed

Press Box Attendant:  Andre Foushee
Media Work Area Attendant: 

  • Work with Prepspin (William Warfield) with the streaming crew
  • Work with TPG staff in coordination of promotions per provided grid/scripts
  • Work with Counter Clocks staff with playing of music, videos, and scoreboard operation
  • Media Work Area Attendant monitors the media work area.  Assist with vest return.

Miscellaneous
Each worker will receive a meal ticket good for use at the concession stand.  Please dress comfortably and if you have one, bring your KHSAA-issued event badge.
