The KHSAA has totaled declarations for Competitive Cheer for the 2021 season. After evaluation and for this year only, there will be four (4) postseason sites and those dates have now been set. It is recommended that any site that was previously planning to host a regional competition in 2021 be afforded that opportunity again in 2022. No changes were made to the regional alignments and competition will remain intra-region at the regional level but with fewer sites in response to the number of declarations and to aid in judging panel logistics.

At the regional competitions, in order to accommodate larger competitions and the need for social distancing among spectators and eliminate mass gatherings, no regional trophies and awards presentation will be made but those earned trophies will be given to the teams upon arrival at the state championship.

With the exception of the Game Day division, a maximum of the top two finishers in each division from each cheer region will advance to the state championships. Due to a significantly larger number of Game Day declarations, qualifiers for that division were prorated to determine the number of squads qualifying for the state championship. KHSAA Staff will continue to coordinate with regional managers on specific schedules and preparations for each event.

The following is the schedule of regional competitions:
