10/10/16 – Competitive Cheer Squads By Division; Season/Scoring Reminders

A reminder to coaches that no changes to divisions may be made and withdrawal from Region/State competition will result in penalties under Bylaw 27, including a fine.

Coaches are reminded to review the updated score sheets, grids and tech sheet. Please be cognizant of the scoring changes for this year. To review:
All-Girls –
Five (5) Routine Judges.
Judge 1 will be assigned Stunting Pyramids/Tosses Difficulty with a total value of 20 points.
Judge 2 will be assigned Stunting Pyramids/Tosses Execution with a total value of 20 points.
Judge 3 will be assigned Tumbling Running/Standing, Jumps and Dance Difficulty with a total value of 20 points.
Judge 4 will be assigned Tumbling Running/Standing, Jumps and Dance Execution with a total value of 20 points.
Judge 5 will be assigned Cheer Design and Presentation with a total value of 20 points. All scores will count and be combined for a total possible score of 100
Coed –
Five (5) Routine Judges.
Judge 1 will be assigned Stunting Pyramids/Tosses Difficulty with a total value of 25 points.
Judge 2 will be assigned Stunting Pyramids/Tosses Execution with a total value of 25 points.
Judge 3 will be assigned Tumbling Running/Standing, Jumps Difficulty with a total value of 15 points.
Judge 4 will be assigned Tumbling Running/Standing, Jumps Execution with a total value of 15 points.
Judge 5 will be assigned Cheer Design and Presentation with a total value of 20 points. All scores will count and be combined for a total possible score of 100
We will continue using three (3) tech judges, with at least two of the judges to confirm a violation before a penalty is assessed. Deductions to the tech sheet were adjusted accordingly with the new 100 point value. Deductions will range from 0.5 points to 3.5 points per occurrence.
