PLEASE CONTACT JENNY BY TUESDAY MORNING IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO WORK ONE OR MORE GAMES OF THE STATE FOOTBALL FINALS.

If you have issues contact Jenny Elder (jelder@khsaa.org) at 859-221-1203, Julian Tackett (jtackett@khsaa.org) at 859-229-3916 or Butch Cope (bcope@khsaa.org) at 859-351-1833. We should be back to full strength for staffing this year but need as much time as possible to move things around if someone is unavailable. If you would, you can simply send a text to Jenny confirming that you are working if that works quicker for you. It is important if at all possible that you be available for all games to ensure the best experience for the participants.

As you likely know, Jenny Elder is now our Event Services Director and your primary pre-event contact, while Mr. Tackett and Mr. Cope will be your primary on-site contacts for this event. The preliminary worker’s list for the finals workers is online at CLICK HERE FOR THE LIST where you can verify your assignment. We have shifted a number of our usual workers will be in different spots this year to help with our GoFan ticketing and we appreciate your flexibility. AGAIN, PLEASE CONTACT JENNY IMMEDIATELY IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND ONE OR MORE GAMES.

The detailed information below should answer any questions you have, but as always, feel free to reach out for anything else. This is more detailed following the earlier “save the date” notice sent to everyone via email. And it is also being sent via text for people like Fred who don’t like email.

Masks / Face Coverings

  • A mask/face covering and its wearing is at the option of the worker to do what is most comfortable for your situation.

Game Schedule

  • Friday, December 2, 12 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Saturday, December 3, 12 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. All times are ET.

Parking

  • Workers should park in the Green Lot on the Cooper Drive side of the stadium if you are working field level, or the Blue Lot on the Alumni Drive if your assignment is in the Press Box. No parking pass is necessary as your credential is valid for parking and given your arrival time, you will likely not be challenged. If you encounter parking control, tell the attendant that you are picking up will-call credentials.
  • From the Green Lot, you will need to walk around the stadium to the Alumni Drive side to pick up your credentials as check-in is inside the Commonwealth Tower Lobby between Gates 9 and 11 if you have not already received your season-long credential or need a single event credential.

Report Time and Credentials

  • The Commonwealth Tower Lobby (CTL) on the South/Alumni Drive side opens at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday for field worker credentials, information and meal ticket pickup.
  • We will need you to check in each day to verify compensation and to pick up meal tickets.
  • Field workers are asked to arrive by 8:30 a.m. on both days to help with setup as needed (which is only ninety minutes prior to team arrival), while the rest of the workers are asked to arrive by 9:30 a.m. and report to the same location
  • Those of you with season-long credentials may use those for admittance. Others will be given credentials when you report.
  • Mr. Rob Ullery will coordinate arrival times for the UK Sports Med trainers and Mr. Cope has coordinated arrival times for those involved with khsaa.tv.

Setup

  • For those who have volunteered to help with set up on Thursday, our staff will report to the stadium around 11 a.m.

Food tickets

  • Will be available each day at the check-in table inside the CTL.
  • You should get two meal vouchers each day that are to be used at most concession stands for a value of $10 (they will not issue change).
  • There is no hospitality room.

Dress

  • Bring everything you need for whatever weather eventuality occurs for the weekend.

Field Level

  • Special note to field level please get with Commissioner Tackett upon arrival to be sure you are aware of logistical changes since last year.
