Information pertaining to the KHSAA Competitive Cheer Regional competitions for 2022-23 has been posted to the KHSAA website. There are several items for participating schools to review prior to the competition on the Competitive Cheer page of the KHSAA website. This includes regional instructions for managers, participating teams, and fans as well as a detailed time schedule for each region.

INSTRUCTIONS/DECLARATIONS

  • A link to the regional instructions are provided here:
  • Due to a high number of entries in the Game Day division, the KHSAA will offer a Small and Large Division this year for the postseason competition. Game Day Small will consist of 5-17 athletes on the floor and Game Day Large will consist of 18-30 athletes. Declaration numbers have been compiled for 2022-23. Links to that information are below:

TICKETS

  • All regional competitive cheer competition tickets will be sold online via GoFan, the KHSAA’s official digital ticket vendor.
  • There shall be no paper tickets sold at the walk-up gate.
  • All regional competitive cheer competition ticket prices are $9 each if purchased in advance for each region competition (each region is its own session and sessions are ticketed separately), plus electronic transaction fees (that are not received by the KHSAA).
  • On the day of the event, the ticket price will be $11 plus applicable fees.
  • Children five-and-under will be admitted free, but must still “purchase” the free ticket through GoFan.
  • No coaches’ cards, KHSAA Administrator cards or officials’ ID cards shall be honored at the gate.
  • Tickets are on sale for all regions atkhsaatickets.org
  • Team members outside of the participating cheerleaders & coaches listed in the KHSAA database must purchase a ticket.

COACHES BOX

  • Each regional site will have a “coaching box” of a maximum of 6 seats.
  • Each participating school can decide who will occupy these seats during the school’s performance, as long as it doesn’t exceed six (6) total (i.e. 2 alternates, 4 coaches or 3 alternates, 3 coaches, etc.).
  • As a reminder, in accordance with Universal Cheer Association’s (UCA) Championship Rules, it is required that each team has a responsible adult at the music station that knows the routine and music (no alternates or team members allowed) and not in the coaching box.
  • This representative is responsible for pressing “play” and should not be 1 of the 6 individuals occupying the coaching box.
  • No other participants from other squads or individuals will be permitted on the floor.
