First and foremost, we would like to thank the regional hosts for all of their hard work and the success of the regionals this past weekend. There are several items for your review on the cross country page of the KHSAA website, including the state instructions, course maps, lane assignments, directions to the State Site, and the state meet time schedule. To view these items, go to http://khsaa.org/sports/fall/cross-country/ and choose the “State Meet Information and Instructions” dropdown menu.

LANE ASSIGNMENTS

PARTICIPATING TEAMS CONFERENCE CALL

Participating Teams are also invited to join the KHSAA in a conference call that will take place on Tuesday, October 26th at 2:00 p.m. Details about joining the call have been sent to participating coaches. State Championship details including parking, check-in procedures, ticketing, and other pertinent details related to attending the event will be discussed.

PRACTICE

There will not be any available course time for practice. Course maps are available on the KHSAA website and KHSAA staff will share a video of the course during the conference call.

SCHEDULE/TEAM CHECK-IN

Time Schedule: https://khsaa.org/2021-state-cross-country-meet-schedule/

Team packets will be available for each class at the indicated time. Please do not arrive earlier than the indicated time or during another class as packets will only be available for each respective class in that specific time window. In addition, the 2021 State Meet will once again utilize bib chips and the collection of unused chips is no longer necessary at the team check-in.

As you have read in the instructions, a maximum of two coaches will be allowed on the course again this year. Coaches must be qualified coaches under Bylaw 25 (have had all the proper training, including the sports safety course, online rules clinic, CPR). Our officials ask that coaches be aware of the course and not interfere with any runners.

Please remind your parents that ALL TICKETS must be purchased online! Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets before they arrive to help ensure a smooth entry. There will be no paper tickets sold at the walk-up gate.

The admission gates will open at 3:00 p.m. for Class 2A, 9:00 AM for Class 1A, and 2:00 PM for Class 3A. Each class is a separately ticketed event. Tickets are available for $12 (which includes the parking fee), with kids 5-and-under, admitted free (but still must “purchase” an online ticket). Fans are reminded that there is no re-entry and that pets are not permitted. Tickets are available in advance for the State Meet.
