10/29/24 – 2024 Kentucky Beef Council State Cross Country Championships Meet Information
PrintCongratulations to all participants and coaches who have qualified for the 2024 Kentucky Beef Council State Cross Country Championships Presented by UK HealthCare. There are several items for your review on the cross country page of the KHSAA website, including the state instructions, course maps, lane assignments, directions to the State Site, and the state meet time schedule (updated with packet pickup details). PRACTICE
- Athletes qualifying for state will be allowed on the Kentucky Horse Park course for practice on Friday, Nov. 1 from 3-5:30 p.m. ET.
- A coach or school representative must attend practice with athletes.
- Alpha Event Medicine will be on-site from 3-5:30 p.m. ET.
SCHEDULE/TEAM CHECK-IN

- Be advised that the order has been adjusted and Class 3A will kick off the state event this year.
- Team packets will be available for each class at the indicated time.
- Coaches of another class will not be given team packets until the competing class is checked in.
- In addition, the 2024 State Meet will once again utilize bib chips and the collection of unused chips is no longer necessary at the team check-in.
- Athletes who do not run, should avoid the finish line area with the bib number/chip.
TICKETS
- All cross country state tickets will be sold online via GoFan, the KHSAA’s official digital ticket vendor, atkhsaatickets.org.
- There will be no paper tickets sold at the walk-up gate.
- Kentucky Horse Park charges a $4 facility fee per runner and $4 per ticket parking fee, which is included in the ticket price, of which, KHP retains the entire fee.
- All KHSAA events will be a fixed price that will include all applicable fees and charges, regardless of the ticket price.
- No fees will be assessed to the customer in excess of the published price and all payment of applicable fees will be the responsibility of the KHSAA.
- The price will be lower, all fees included, if purchased prior to midnight on day of the event.
- The price increases by $3, all fees included, after midnight on day of the event.
Kentucky Children’s Hospital is sponsoring FREE tickets for all children 10-and-under. (To receive these qualifying free tickets, you must “purchase” these through khsaatickets.org even though there will be no
charge.) - Parking is included with the price of the ticket, there will not be a charge for parking this year.

About the Kentucky High School Athletic Association
The Kentucky High School Athletic Association was organized in 1917 and is the agency designated by the Kentucky Department of Education to manage high school athletics in the Commonwealth. The Association is a voluntary nonprofit 501(c)3 organization made up of 289 member schools, both public and non-public. The KHSAA awards 229 state championships to 72 teams and 270 individuals in 21 sports and six sport-activities, funds catastrophic insurance coverage for its more than 109,000 rostered member school student-athletes, provides coaching education and sports safety programs for more than 12,000 coaches and licenses and facilitates the distribution of training material for over 4,000 contest officials.
