WARNING!

  • Credentials are non-transferable! All credentials will be coded, and the credentials found in possession by someone other than the intended party will immediately be revoked and the outlet that originally requested the credentials will be denied credentials for future
    KHSAA events.
  • The recipient agrees to use all official tournament title references and will adhere to identifying the event by its official title during all broadcasts/newscasts, and printed materials.
  • When referring to the boys’ basketball state tournament, the tournament’s full name, the UK HealthCare Boys’ Sweet 16® should be used in all first references, without exception.
  • When referring to the girls’ basketball state tournament, the tournament’s full name, the Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Girls’ Sweet 16® should be used in all first references, without exception. 
  • In subsequent references, it is acceptable to refer to the tournament as the Boys’ Sweet 16® or the Girls’ Sweet 16®.
  • Sponsorship of KHSAA state championship events is vital to the livelihood of the
    Association. Please help us thank our corporate sponsors by recognizing their
    commitment to the KHSAA with proper identification of our events in printed materials, broadcasts, etc.
  • Cheering on press row (courtside or upper level), the interview area, Media Workroom, and Coach Hospitality, photo, or any other areas will not be tolerated.
  • The KHSAA must maintain a professional working media environment.
  • Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to be in possession of tournament
    credentials. This pass may be revoked at any time due to violation of tournament
    guidelines.
  • The intellectual property, corporate, broadcasting, and media rights to all State
    Tournament rounds of the KHSAA postseason championships belong exclusively to the KHSAA, including titling agreements and sponsorships. As such, the KHSAA is the only entity permitted to originate a live broadcast during either the Sweet 16® (including the use of social media streaming platforms such as Facebook Live by media members).
