Thank you for working the 2026 KHSAA Girls’ State Volleyball Tournament!  Here are some pertinent details to help you prepare for the event at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

EVENT DETAILS

• Dates: Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7
• Site: George Rogers Clark High School
• Address: 2745 Boonesboro Rd., Winchester 40391
• Parking: Free on-site. Please see the map below for information on parking and entry.

CHECK-IN
Please enter through the team/officials/workers’ gate, as indicated on the map above. Not the front “ticket” gate.

If you have the KHSAA season-long event credential, please bring that. If this is the first event of the year you are working and received one in the past, you can pick the 26-27 one up at this time. If not, a general event staff badge will be issued.

ATTIRE
Dress comfortably and keep in mind the weather forecast if you are in a gate area, to dress appropriately for any cooler weather.

MEALS
So you can plan accordingly, we will have a boxed meal from the concession stand at 12:15 and 6:15 p.m. on Friday and 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. There is a break between the semifinals and the final, allowing you to dine offsite.

STAFF ASSIGNMENTS/DUTIES
Ticket Gate Both Days – Joe Angolia, Kathy Johnston (all but championship), Trey Smallwood, Kathy Smith (all but Friday night), Barbara Kok (all but Friday night). 

• Box Office Ticket Purchases: Kathy Johnston and Trey/Kara will staff the box office units for walk-up credit card sales.
• Ticket Validations: Kathy Johnston, Trey, Kathy Smith, Barbara (Chris Bumps on Friday night and if a rush at gate).
• Training details for using GoFan: https://ly.khsaa.org/u3ma
• Arrival time 9:30 a.m.

Team Check-In – Sara McClain

• Check-in Teams, Officials, Workers, and Media using Google Sheets in 2026 Volleyball Notes.
• Team attendants to assist.
• Admit Commonwealth Card holders and guests and keep a count.
• Arrival time 9 a.m.

Team Attendants – Diane Griffitt, Donna Bumps

• Verify players/staff from the roster
• Assist teams to the locker rooms
• Manage teams (review timeline, warm-up areas, bench count, post-match awards)
• Assist with shagging as requested.
• Arrival time 9 a.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Floor Managers – Frank McGowan, Chris Bumps, John Campbell, Jeremy Ison

• Managing access areas as assigned
• Assist with shagging/Ball rotation between serves
• Arrival time 9:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday

Public Address/Director – Will Engle

• Assist with corporate sponsor fulfillment (PA reads, Video Board, Warm-up Music)
• Arrival times are 9:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Streaming – Prepspin

• Production – William Warfield, TBD
• Talent – Paul Najjar, Morgan Contino

Officials Liaison – Nancy Funk (Friday)
Table Workers – Lisa Stephenson, Adell Kemper, Jeff Robinson 

Security – George Rogers Clark SRO

• Facility security, including assistance in floor management post-match and clearing of the facility.
• Arrive 9:30 a.m. on Friday and 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Stats – WL Stats (Lee Ann Clark, CJ O’Banion)

KHSAA Staff
Arrive at 7:30 a.m. on Friday for final setup and at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Navy shirt on Friday
Black shirt on Saturday.
