On Wednesday, Oct. 13 the pairings for the 2021 KHSAA Field Hockey, Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer and Volleyball State Tournaments will be revealed during the annual Fall Championship Draw Show at 10 a.m. ET. The show will be broadcast live online by KHSAA.tv through the NFHS Network from the KHSAA offices.

The 2021 KHSAA Field Hockey State Tournament begins on Thursday, Oct. 21 with quarterfinal games being played on campus sites. Play continues with the semifinals and championship on Saturday, Oct. 23 and Monday, Oct. 25 at Christian Academy-Louisville.

Soccer’s state championships open with semi-state matches on Oct. 18-19, followed by a second round of semi-state play on Oct. 21-23. Both initial rounds will be played on campus sites. The semifinals (Oct. 27-28) and finals (Oct. 30) will be played in Lexington at Frederick Douglass High School.

The draw for the KHSAA State Volleyball Tournament will wrap up the show with the initial semi-state round being played at campus sites on Nov. 1, followed by the final eight teams heading to George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. Quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 5 with the semifinals and final playing out on Saturday, Nov. 6.

Per the September Board of Control meeting, soccer and volleyball will conduct random draws for the semi-state rounds with Regions 1-8 and 9-16 in random pods. The Ratings Percentage Index will play a role, with the highest-rated team being the home team.

KHSAA.tv will have a live webcast of each contest played at the central tournament location, with all matches streamed live through the NFHS Network, which is a subscription-based service. Subscription plans to the NFHS Network are available for $10.99 a month. A monthly subscription, priced less than the cost of admission to a state championship event, entitles users to every broadcast by the KHSAA and the more than 45 participating state associations. A free audio-only feed of the webcast games will also be available online through KHSAA.net and Mixlr (http://mixlr.com/khsaa/), which has a corresponding app available for iOS and Android devices.
