Event Ticketing and Format Reminder

  • In order to maximize the opportunity for your parents and other supporters to attend, each game is ticketed separately for the 2021 tournaments.
  • There are no “sessions,” only individual games.

Team Admission

  • Due to social distancing and capacity restrictions, there is no opportunity to attend other games of the tournament without the purchase of admission.
  • For a limited period of time, to be detailed when all champions are known, a team may purchase sets of tickets for the team party in the event they want to attend other games.
  • Details on the ticket purchase opportunity will be discussed during the conference call.

Passes for Team Traveling Squad in Current Game

  • For 2021, the KHSAA’s GoFan digital ticketing platform will be used for team party admission. There will be no physical passes issued.
  • Each team will have an individual link to the GoFan platform. Those links will be distributed Sunday night following the final regional championship.
  • Each team will be allotted a traveling party of 50 for 2021. This allows for:
    • 15 players in the current game
    • 10 bench staff, including all coaches in the current game
    • 4 administrators in the current game
    • 1 videographer in the current game
    • 16 cheerleaders in the current game
    • 2 cheer coaches in the current game
    • 2 bus drivers in the current game
  • Each team will “purchase” these 50 passes as a unit for the first game in the directions that will be sent following the last regional final. The person (team rep) who will be distributing these passes will need to be the contact email used for the purchase.
  • The team rep will then distribute the electronic passes to the individuals who need the passes. These can be transmitted by email or by text.
  • Each person will need to have their mobile ticket accessible on their phone or another device upon entry into the team gate of the arena.
  • Without the mobile passes, no person will be admitted into the team gate.
These team passes are valid only for the games being played.
  • For each team that wins, these passes will be reset and the team rep can again assign them to the appropriate individuals, or this assignment can be changed.
  • There will be no complimentary admission for any other individual for the game.

Team Party Access points during the game

  • There will be no co-mingling with the opponent or officials.
  • The benches will be set with 20 seats, two rows of 10.
  • Therefore a maximum of 25 people may be on the floor once the game starts.
  • The four school administrators and two cheer coaches will be issued wristbands upon entry which will allow seating in the front row in front of the team cheering section.
  • There will be a maximum of 16 cheerleaders in an area in front of the team cheering section and are to be placed in two rows of eight.
  • All others will not have seating available at or near the court without a game ticket.
  • Other cheer instructions will be finalized in the team instructions document and detailed in the Monday conference call, including the opportunity to rotate cheerleaders as desired by the school.
  • Non-ticketed individuals without other designated areas as listed for the current game must proceed to Section 211 where a minimal amount of socially distant seating is available and from which no tickets are being sold.
  • Band Admission
A maximum of 38 band members may enter and participate in the pep band area.
The pep band area has specific seating that will be detailed in the team conference call.
Other band instructions and regulations will be finalized in the team instructions document and detailed in the Monday conference call, including any performance restrictions.

General Fan Admission

  • Each team cheering section will have approximately 675 seats in the end zone (not including the band).
  • Seating location diagrams were revised just this past Friday in an effort to maximize the opportunity for supporter attendance, and those diagrams will continue to be posted on the KHSAA website through the weekend.
  • Specific seats are assigned and all persons should expect to remain in their assigned seat.
  • Each school will have the option to purchase 140 of these seats in advance for parents, administration and others.
  • Instructions for that purchase will be provided.
  • The ticket purchase will be required to be point-of-sale with no purchase orders accepted and will not be done on consignment.
  • A school credit card is preferred.
