Final Girls Tournament Worker Information

Good morning! Thanks so much for agreeing to work at the 2019 KHSAA Girls Sweet Sixteen®. We look forward to a great week. Here are some final details!

MATERIAL PICKUP

If you are on this list to pick up either credentials or parking, that is available at the Hyatt Regency (Thorobred 1) from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, or at the Pass Gate in the arena lobby beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the location detailed below.

ARENA ACCESS

Due to ongoing renovation at the Lexington Center, the check-in/passgate will be at a different location in 2019. Media/workers will no longer be able to check-in and enter at the back dock. For 2019, the media check-in/passgate will be located on the main concourse area of Rupp Arena and the Lexington Center, under the wall of televisions located near the section of the old Rupp Arena playing floor. Media members and workers will enter via the main High Street entrance and check-in inside the lobby.

It should also be noted that due to a concert at Rupp Arena on Tuesday night, there will be no arena access until 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday. For those workers desiring to help setup, partcularly those staying at the Hilton on Tuesday, we will be ready to begin setup at 7:30 a.m.

HOUSING 

The following have housing at the Hyatt Regency or Hilton Downtown with a scheduled check-in as listed. If for any reason you cannot check-in , it is critical that you let Mr. Tackett know so we can change your arrival date. The hotel is a complete sellout and a no-show will likely be problematic to getting you back into housing. The assignments are:

PARKING

Due to arena construction, there is no parking for workers behind Rupp in the normal Manchester Street lot. Those issued parking passes are to park in the High Street lot, using Gate 2. This gate is accessed via High Street straight across from the arena, near the West end, and is labeled. A map of the parking areas is located at https://khsaa.org/basketball/boys/sweet16/2019/parkinglotinstructions.pdf. Your parking pass will not be valid at any other gate. If you cannot pick your pass up in advance and are charged for parking, please keep your receipt for parking and get it to Dan White prior to Thursday.

If you have not picked yours up, remember you can get them at the Tournament HQ in Thorobred 1 at the Hyatt on Tuesday from 2 until 7 p.m. or if you cannot make it to the Hyatt, you can check in starting at 9:00 at the Hyatt Lobby pass gate. The following workers will pick up credentials for this event upon arrival. They can be picked up at the Tournament HQ in Thorobred 1 at the Hyatt on Tuesday from 2 until 7 p.m. or if you cannot make it to the Hyatt, you can check in starting at 9:00 at the Hyatt Lobby pass gate.
