First and foremost, the KHSAA would like to thank the region tournament hosts, as well as the coaches and officials, for their continued contributions this season. Congratulations to those who have qualified for the 2026 KHSAA State Wrestling Championships presented by UK HealthCare. The event will be held Feb. 26-28 at Alltech Arena inside the Kentucky Horse Park, with the boys’/coed championship taking place Thursday, Feb. 26 and Friday, Feb. 27, followed by the girls’ championship on Saturday, Feb. 28. The competition schedule can be viewed at https://khsaa.org/2026-state-wrestling-schedule/.

The state instructions are available for review on the Wrestling homepage at https://ly.khsaa.org/tqmq. Tickets to the event are available for purchase online at khsaatickets.org, including discounted single-day, two-day or three-day all-session passes.

There is also a ticket for the championship action on Friday and Saturday, which is only available through this direct link. This ticket will be on sale until Thursday, February 26th, at midnight. It will not be offered after the 26th.

The advance discount tickets are available up until the day of the event, at which time only the game day tickets will be available. Tickets can be purchased via credit card at the admission gate, but no tickets will be sold on-site using cash.

Only student-athletes and coaches participating in the specific event will be granted free admission. Those not participating or competing in an event (girls in the boys’/coed championship or boys in the girls’ championship) will have to purchase a ticket to attend. Alternates that arrive on the first day of the competition and participate in the weigh-in process will be granted free admission both days, regardless of whether or not they are rolled into the tournament.

As outlined in the state instructions, coaches meeting all Bylaw 25 KHSAA Coaching Requirements shall receive free admission based on the number of team qualifiers:

  • One (1) qualifier affords a maximum of two (2) coaches;
  • Two (2) to six (6) qualifiers afford a maximum of four (4) coaches;
  • Seven (7) to 10 qualifiers afford a maximum of five (5) coaches;
  • 11 to 14 qualifiers afford a maximum of six (6) coaches.

Additional coaching passes for individuals on the school roster who meet all Bylaw 25 requirements must be purchased. Member schools are encouraged to do so before the event to take advantage of the discounted pricing.

Brackets have been published to KHSAA.org and TrackWrestling. The brackets were developed based on the random draw tables, which can be viewed on the KHSAA website.

School representatives shall notify the KHSAA by noon ET on Wednesday, Feb. 25 should a team have a wrestler finish in 1st through 4th place in the regional tournament who is unable to compete at the state tournament due to schedule conflicts, injury or other documented reasons.

As outlined in the state instructions, for the boys’/coed championship, a ONE-POUND growth allowance will be added to each weight class for day two qualifiers.
